Studley Lake Updates
Week commencing 16 August
The majority of silt from the Lake has now been removed, and has been put in a farmers field near St.Mary’s Church. Our contractors estimate that they have moved 60,000 tonnes!
We are hoping that recharging of the Lake will begin by the end of the week. It won’t be immediate and to fill up to it’s previous level is likely to take a few weeks.
There is still some work to do to the dam therefore the usual footbridge into the Seven Bridges Valley will remain closed for a while longer.
We’re hoping to be able to remove a lot of the signage and fencing in the deer
park soon. The project has been a great success so far and we’re really pleased
that the silt removal has gone well.
