Education
Forming and nurturing links with children and adults is an important aspect of the Trust's programme of work. Fountains Abbey is always keen to support schools' education programmes and promote activities which engage enquiring minds of all ages!
We offer a series of activities for schools covering topics from the national
curriculum for Key Stages 1, 2 3 and 4.
For example choose from guided activities like Cedric Stories for KS1 – stories
about the life of a novice monk, or go on a sensory trail around the estate for
pupils at KS2 level.
Combine a guided activity with a self led trail to make a whole day trip to Fountains. Special
day long projects are also available including art workshops and Tudor period
drama with North Country Theatre.
