We need your help to conserve and enhance this national treasure for present
and future generations.
There are lots of different opportunities for volunteering your time at Fountains.
We currently have volunteers who help with gardening and wildlife conservation
and tours, volunteer tour guides who keep visitors entertained with stories about
the monks who lived in the Abbey or the architecture of the Abbey or whatever
their chosen specialty is. Volunteer tour guides also take tours around the Water
Garden, telling the history of the family who designed and built it.
Other people volunteer their time to help out at events, from stewarding our
medieval re-enactments to ticket checking and helping out on the refreshment stall
at our popular summer open air theatre evenings.
Another way to gift your time to Fountains is to become a Weddings and special
function volunteer. You could greet the registrar, advise the wedding car chauffeur
on parking or even greet the bride as she arrives.
As a charity we really do rely on the time and expertise our volunteers donate
to us. We have a great team at Fountains so have a look at the
Volunteering information and see how you could get involved.
Another way to help Fountains Estate is to
donate to us or leave a legacy. As a registered charity, not a Government body, we rely almost entirely on
voluntary contributions to continue our invaluable work for you, and for future
generations.
We value your assistance and would be delighted to discuss attractive options
that can make your help go even further.
