Swanley Grange is a series of converted farm buildings which have become our
family learning centre. It is situated between the Visitor Centre and Abbey.
Information panels telling the story of the monks are located in the entrance
building, where you’ll also find some rocking sheep for our very young visitors.
During school holidays the drop-in self-led craft workshops take place in Swnaley
workshop.
Families can follow information cards and take advantage of the free materials
to get creative by colouring, cutting and sticking to make all sorts of creations
from daffodils, birds, butterflies, frogs and slippery snails to bats, spiders
and Christmas decorations, depending on the season.
There is a courtyard and grassed areas which are all fenced and gated making
it a really safe place for young families. The field opposite Swanley Grange is
perfect for football or other ball games.
